On March 19th, leaders from across Africa will gather for the virtual symposium, “Women Breaking Barriers in STEM Leading Africa’s Development”.

As a continent, Africa has pioneered technological innovations with African women at the forefront, breaking barriers on development issues. This symposium, organized under the 2022 International Women’s Day theme – Break the Bias – will highlight Africa’s development in sectors including:

  • Transport and construction
  • Education and public policy
  • Technology and innovation

The SWE Africa Task Force invites you to join this event to learn from, celebrate, and network with African women who are breaking barriers in STEM. This event is free and open to SWE members and non-members around the world.
